The Dark Knight

So i saw this film last night, you may have heard about it. It certainly lived up to the hype, it was one of the best films i've ever seen. It was deep, dark, action packed, chilling and everything i expected it to be and more - at parts a little confusing but im like that with films, i guess the guy who kept burping and had breath like garlic next to me didn't help me keep track.

DMC UK DJ Finals

So on Thursday night i rushed back from Manchester to head over to the Carling Academy for the DMC UK Finals, the night would see who goes through to the World Finals in the O2 Arena in September (i'll be down there too). The night was crazy, Trip was the host for DMC along with 1989 winner DJ Cutmaster Swift (in the picture below with me) providing the Hip Hop whilst the stage was getting changed and new DJs were brought on.



Shouts to Sally the main woman behind everything that happens at DMC - she puts in alot of work and also for hooking me up with the VIP tickets. DJ Cable was also in the place judging the Battle For Supremacy along with Shadow, X Rated and more.

The main man Tony Prince was also in the place, he's still got it!

CKIN2U is a big sponser for the event so there was a few heads representing for Calvin Klein, shouts to Natalia and the crew.

So the final line up looked like this:

3rd - DJ Switch
2nd - DJ JFB
1st - DJ Scully... would you belive i stepped out for a bloody McDonalds whilst he was on, so pissed off i missed him seriously but apparently he did his thing hard and brought Hip Hop back to DMC's, im going to have to buy the DVD!

Ryan Leslie's "Diamond Girl" (The Movie)

Is it any suprise that R Les has done it again? No, lets be honest every project he jumps on he does it with style and this is no acception, hes taken his videos a few steps further than just studio filming and actually made a short film for 'Diamond Girl', im such a Ryan Leslie fan as ive said before on here and this just proves my point even more, could this be the start of Ryans acting career?

The Mist

So today as im up in Manchester with nothing to do and despite me saying i wouldnt go to the cinema any time soon (apart from to see 'The Dark Knight') i went to see 'The Mist.' One word - crap - click here if you want to read what its all about but belive me the acting was kinda poor, it took a whole hour to get to the main point and there was way to much religious talk.

My Cinema Antics

This weekend i went out to the cinema... something i don't do an awful lot, im not a great fan of spending a hell of alot of money to sit in a room where i cant talk, have my phone on or when i have some fat ass person sitting right infront of me so i can't see a thing... i digress...

I saw 'Hancock' and man it was sick!! Will Smith seriously doesn't stop, new film after new film, however i heard him say on Johnathan Ross that he is going to take 5 months off.

Anway, another big film dropping in 2 weeks is The Dark Knight, i think i might have to go back to the cinema for this one!!!

Congrats To Dizzie

Mr Dizzie Rascal made his 1st top 10 hit this week with 'Dance Wiv Me' featuring Calvin Harris.

From what i read about this man from his tour DJs (MK and Semtex) Dizzie works damn hard to get where he is, he does alot of festivals, alot of travelling so this number 1 spot is well deserved and awaited....

DJ Swerve: Enter Di Star

Everyone who knows me knows that im a massive fan of Swerve, i love his mixing style and his radio shows (Every week Tuesday nights 9-11pm on KISS) and his very good taste in music. Hes recently got on the production tip producing tracks for up and coming artists and also a few known names such as this track with Dynamite MC and Gappy Ranks on the vocals.

Aimed to be the Carnival track of 08... i think it could be with the right marketing, its got serious potential, and this video here is only the PRE video and its serious!!!

Okay so im still hating on JD right now after what he said about DJs being dead, HOWEVER exciting news for big up and coming artists it seems as JD and Island Def Jam have hooked up to bring TAG Records.

Check the vid where JD gives the low down and a few other artists say some words... i love Nas at the end... clearly had a few before turning up.

CALL OF DUTY 5: WORLD AT WAR

This one out to my dude Jared, hes COD mad, its weird, i concider myself abit of a nerd however the only game console i own is an origional Playstation... supose its kinda retro right?! Im getting a new flat screen soon so im not guna hold back on getting the PS3 at the same time... anyway, just saw this on YouTube, COD 5. Set in during Second World War like COD 3 (i belive) however this time with the Japanese soldiers.

It looks sick and no doubt ill be round Jareds attemping to beat him at it... no chance.

Check out the trailer.. no set release date that im aware of yet though. One things for sure sleepless nights, excuses not to go out and pleantly of sore thumbs are going to result from this game!
